Fees, refunds and cancellations
Last updated October 23, 2026
The short version
- CrewStay360 is free for crew, and free for owners during early access.
- Each pad’s owner sets its rent and fees, and the pad page shows them before you ask.
- Nothing is paid through CrewStay360: you pay the owner directly, and refunds follow your agreement with them and the law.
For crew
We never charge crew to search, ask about a bed, use the crew portal, sign an agreement or report a problem.
What a pad costs
Every pad page shows, from the owner’s own records:
- the monthly rent for each open bed;
- the move-in fee, if any, and whether the owner says it’s refundable;
- optional parking, and what it costs a month;
- what’s due before move-in (first month’s rent plus the move-in fee);
- how a partial first or last month is charged, when the owner has said.
Prices can change until the owner confirms them with you in writing. If anything else will be charged (a deposit, a late fee, a key or cleaning fee), the owner must tell you before you agree, in the rental agreement. Late fees and notice rules are in each pad’s house rules and agreement.
Paying, refunds and cancelling
- Paying: CrewStay360 doesn’t take or hold payments. You pay the owner directly, by the methods they list. Payments an owner records here show on your My Stay page with a receipt.
- An ask isn’t a booking: it costs nothing and commits you to nothing. To withdraw one, tell the owner when they reply, or email us.
- Refunds: whether rent, a move-in fee or a deposit is refunded is up to your rental agreement with the owner and the law where the pad is. Many states have rules for deposits: in Washington, for example, a refundable deposit needs a written move-in condition checklist, and a fee that won’t be refunded must be in writing as nonrefundable. If an owner owes you a refund and doesn’t pay it, see complaints.
- Moving out: give notice as your agreement says. My Stay has “Give notice”, which shows the owner’s notice rule and records the date you sent it.
For owners
- Now: listing your pad, running it on CrewStay360, the agreement and house rules tools, e-signatures and maintenance requests are free during early access. We don’t take a card.
- Before anything costs money: we’ll put the prices on this page and email every owner at least 30 days ahead. Nothing is charged unless you agree to it first, and you can always stop before then at no cost.
- Online rent payments aren’t offered yet. When they are, their fees will be shown here, and to you before you switch them on.
- Cancelling: you can unlist your pad any time in Settings, and ask us to close your account at support@crewstay360.com. There’s no fee or notice period. We’ll give you the chance to download your records first; see Privacy for what happens to them.
